Oh how I love them.
The lightening blinds me, the thunder shakes me. The rain pounds against the window, wind howls. It’s the sound of confusion, and of power and sheer force. And I love it. I always fall right asleep when I hear them. When I look outside, my window is a blur and the street is a mirror of streetlights. It’s the time when the world is getting clean. Pollution is washed away, leaving the sweet scent of rain in the air. Sometimes after it’s gone I can still feel the heaviness. Sometimes it feels like a weight has been lifted. And, sometimes, my soul feels just the same.
